On 3/26/2020, Weymouth Fire Alarm (Massachusetts) dispatched companies to a reported building fire at the old Weymouth Naval Air Station. Upon arrival, companies had heavy fire showing from multiple buildings in what were the barracks. Multiple defensive lines were run and two ladder pipes were put into operation. Eventually a second alarm was struck, bringing mutual aid from Quincy, Braintree, and Hingham to the scene.
On 3/14/2020, Pawtucket (RI) Fire Alarm dispatched companies to a reported fire in a series of mill buildings on the Central Falls line. Companies arrived to heavy fire in multiple buildings and with wind being an issue, spreading to more. Multiple alarms were struck throughout the morning, bringing in mutual aid from Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Three Alarms in Boston’s Dorchester Neighborhood
On 3/5/2020, Boston Fire Alarm dispatched companies to a reported fire on Stonehurst Street in the Dorchester neighborhood. First-due companies had heavy fire on the second and third floors, and a second alarm was called about five minutes later. A third alarm was eventually struck. At one point a mayday was declared for a missing member but he was quickly found and self-extricated from the building.
Basement Fire Closes Main Road in Boston
On 3/8/2020, Boston Fire Alarm struck a box for a reported fire on Bloomington Street in Dorchester. Engine 20 arrived with smoke showing and found a fire in the basement. An extra truck company was requested to the scene and firefighters had the fire out in about 20 minutes. Traffic on Morrissey Boulevard was diverted as companies ran a supply line across the street.

On 2/5/2020, Boston Fire Alarm dispatched companies to a reported fire on East Seventh Street in the South Boston neighborhood of the city. While companies were responding multiple calls came in reporting the fire, and Engine 2 and Ladder 19 called off with heavy smoke and fire showing from a building under construction. Within 10 minutes a second and third alarm were struck, with a fourth alarm sounded not long after. Companies dealt with heavy fire on all floors and battled exposure problems. Multiple aerial master streams were utilized to knock down heavy fire before transitioning to an interior attack. On January 27, 2020, Weymouth Fire was dispatched to a reported fire on Commercial Street near the Braintree line. Companies had heavy fire showing on arrival and a working fire was requested. The fire was fought defensively as the roof was discovered to be soft and everyone was reported to be out of the building. More photos can be found here:
On January 26, 2020, Boston Fire was dispatched to a reported fire on Seaver Street. Companies had heavy fire on arrival and a report of one occupant still in the building that was rescued shortly after arrival. Crews fought the fire offensively, keeping it to a first-alarm assignment and knocking the heavy fire down within 15 minutes. While checking for extension a cat was rescued from the building.
