On 1/5/17 at 2146 hours, Hartford, CT north-end companies were dispatched to the area of Deerfield Ave & Greenfield St. for a structure fire. First due Engine 14 arrived to find heavy smoke showing from a vacant building at 59 Deerfield Ave. Companies made a good push in knocking down fire on floor’s #1&2 but were unable to get into the attic due to holes in the floors. Command decided then to go defensive. Two extra engines and an addition ladder were special called. More pictures at www.squadfirephotos.com

A 2-Alarm house fire at 192 E. 157th Street in Harvey, IL (1/22/15).

Yesterday we took in Harvey’s fire @ 192 e. 157th st. We were coming from Merrionette Park so it took us a little bit. When we got there, Harvey was on the first floor working but still had heavy fire showing from the 2nd. Crews had a hard time getting a knock on the fire due to the construction of the house, but kept it from spreading to the adjacent house to the east. Here are some of my pictures.

Here are some shots from the Still & Box Alarm on Union yesterday. Companies had water problems at first, there wasn’t any hydrants on this street. The hydrant Engine 54 had to hit was in the alley behind the house that was on fire.

Chicago Still & Box Alarm @ 76th & Union – CHI-TOWN FIRE PHOTOS

This was a fire in Chicago … all the information that I have is that it was a hot day in 1985. Among the classic images here is Engine 76, an American LaFrance engine sharing a hydrant with Engine 57, a Ward LaFrance engine.
