Engine Co. 16 landed first and reported a 1.5-story frame, 20 x 50 with fire through the roof. Engine’s 16 and 29 used their deck guns to darken down the bulk of the fire and within minutes. All that was needed were a few hand lines to mop up. There was some very minor communication to the “B” side exposure with visible flames along the eave but that was quickly extinguished and further communication prevented.
